What this tool does

Parses any User-Agent string into structured data: browser name and version, operating system, device type (mobile/tablet/desktop), rendering engine, and CPU architecture. Runs fully client-side.

Who it's for: Developers segmenting traffic, analysts profiling user bases, and security teams tracking unusual agent strings.

When to use

  • •Inspect a suspicious User-Agent from access logs.
  • •Verify a bot's UA string matches its claimed identity.
  • •Profile a specific device model reported by a customer.
  • •Parse User-Agents in bulk for analytics reports.

How it works

  1. 1Paste any User-Agent string.
  2. 2Regex patterns extract browser, OS, device.
  3. 3Your current browser's UA is pre-filled.
  4. 4No data leaves your device.

Tips

  • •User-Agent strings can be spoofed trivially - never trust them for security.
  • •Modern browsers are reducing UA detail (UA-CH is the replacement).
  • •Mobile / Tablet / Desktop classification is heuristic, not perfect.
