Lookup

What this tool does

Looks up any IPv4 or IPv6 address and returns country, region, city, ISP, ASN, timezone, and whether the IP is a known proxy/VPN/TOR exit or hosting datacenter. Backed by proxycheck.io and cached in MySQL for speed.

Who it's for: Security engineers investigating access logs, ad fraud analysts checking traffic quality, and anyone curious about an IP's origin.

When to use

  • •Check if a suspicious login came from a VPN or TOR exit node.
  • •Classify traffic sources in access logs by country.
  • •Verify that an ASN matches a known cloud provider.
  • •Research incoming scrapers' hosting providers.

How it works

  1. 1Enter any IPv4 or IPv6 address.
  2. 2The server queries proxycheck.io and returns location + threat data.
  3. 3Results are cached 24h so repeat lookups are instant.
  4. 4Your own IP can be looked up with one click.

Tips

  • •Proxy/VPN classification isn't 100% - rotating residential proxies often pass.
  • •ASN tells you the network owner; cross-reference with BGP data for exact routing.
  • •Timezone from IP doesn't always match the user's browser timezone - spoofing tells.
