Privacy Policy
Effective July 26, 2026 · BrowserLeaksUS (browserleaks.us)
BrowserLeaksUS provides browser fingerprinting, privacy leak tests, utilities, and optional AI-assisted tools. This policy explains what information is processed when you use our website, APIs, and official Chrome extension.
Who we are
The service is operated at https://browserleaks.us (“we”, “us”, “BrowserLeaks”). For privacy questions contact [email protected].
What runs in your browser
Most tests execute locally in your browser and display results on your screen. We do not receive your full fingerprint vector unless you use features that intentionally call our servers (for example IP geolocation lookup, header echo, port checks, or AI tools).
Information our servers may process
- Network and device signals you send to us: When you use server-backed tools, we may process your IP address, request headers, user-agent, and similar technical data needed to run the test or API you requested.
- IP lookup and caching: IP-related queries may be cached in our database for performance and abuse prevention. Cached records are technical (location, ISP, ASN where available), not account profiles.
- AI tools: If you submit text or URLs to AI features, that input is sent to our backend to generate a response. Prompts may be cached for rate limiting and cost control for a limited period. Do not submit passwords, secrets, or highly sensitive personal data.
- Logs: Standard web server logs (IP, timestamp, URL, status code) may be kept for security, debugging, and abuse prevention for a limited retention period.
Chrome extension
Our optional Chrome extension opens the same BrowserLeaks website in Chrome’s side panel. The extension itself:
- Does not read your browsing history on other websites.
- Does not inject scripts into third-party pages.
- May store one setting locally (optional site URL, default production) via Chrome sync storage so your preference follows your Chrome profile.
When you use the extension, data handling for tests and APIs is the same as visiting the site directly, as described above.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not use your data for credit eligibility or unrelated advertising profiles.
- We do not require an account for core privacy tests.
Third parties
Some client-side tests contact third-party services you initiate (for example public DNS leak checks or speed-test endpoints). Those providers have their own policies. Our server-side AI features may use third-party model providers to process prompts you submit; content is used only to deliver the requested output.
Cookies and local storage
The site may use browser storage (cookies, localStorage) for basic functionality and preferences. We do not use invasive cross-site tracking for advertising through this policy’s scope.
Your choices
You can stop using the service at any time. You can clear site data in your browser settings. For extension settings, use Chrome’s extension options or remove the extension.
Children
The service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
International users
Servers may be located outside your country. By using the service you understand technical data may be processed where our infrastructure operates, subject to this policy.
Changes
We may update this policy. The effective date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised policy.
